First Sorghum Trial Planted!

The first 2017 OSU Sorghum Performance Trial was planted at the Tipton Valley Research Center on April 11. On April 13th, 2.39 inches of rain crusted the surface.  On April 19th the trial was lightly cultivated with a sandfighter to release the seedlings from the crust.

Thanks to Gary Strickland, Dryland Cropping Systems Specialist, who is helping manage the trial, and to Rocky Thacker, Sr. Station Superintendent and company for the cultivation!
